Old trees among young plants
An old tree towers over young plants from the reforestation of the Cinta Raja III restoration area, Langkat, North Sumatra. This forest area is part of a national park that was returned to the state after being converted into an oil palm plantation.
Currently, this restoration is considered very successful, this can be seen from several animals that have returned to the restoration area. Sumatran elephants and tigers, the key animals of Gunung Leuser National Park, were captured in camera traps set up by National Park officials.
